A stress-free process
Just as you need to lay foundations before building a house, so you need to lay the groundwork ahead of a successful shoot. This is true of all ages, but especially so with children. There’s a big bonus to putting this effort in upfront: when the shoot starts, you can simply relax and enjoy it, as your work is done.
I’ll guide you through everything during our pre-shoot phone call, from some specific tips to getting the best from little ones through to what I recommend might say to slightly older children on the day of the photoshoot.
In addition, you’ll get my ‘Fun for Everyone’ guide included within your Welcome Pack, which is packed with all the ways I work with different ages to ensure everyone has an enjoyable day and we get the images you’re hoping for.

Before the photoshoot
Once we’ve agreed a date and time, I’ll send over an invoice for the £75 session fee. On receipt of this payment, your shoot is booked and we can start the planning and prep process.
I’ll send over my Outfit Guide, which provides a handy approach to choosing what to wear. Feel free to snap a picture of the outfits you have in mind and send it over. I’ll make suggestions if needed or let you know if they are perfect as is!
We’ll book in a 30-minute phone call to go through some details, such as timing the session for when your children are at their best, so they’re not tired or hungry. If your children are two or more years old, I’ve got a helpful recommendation on what to tell them about the shoot in advance.

On the day of the photoshoot
I book a maximum of one shoot per day to ensure I can give you my full energy and attention. This means that you don’t need to panic if you’re running a little ahead or behind time, or if we need a short break during the shoot itself – we’ve got all the time we need which also means you’re getting my full energy and attention.
During the shoot itself, you can hand over control to me. I’ll use my games-led approach to keep your children engaged. I’ll create a series of beautiful images of everyone together, and everyone individually, too. We’ll capture your family laughing and interacting as well as more formal images where we can see everyone’s faces. We’ll have so much fun that your children may end up asking you when we can have another photoshoot!

After your photoshoot
Then, a week or two after your photoshoot, I’ll send you a link to an online gallery containing 20 beautiful, hand-edited images for you to choose from. There will be smiles, laughter and possibly even tears as you enjoy the slideshow, set to music and featuring all your favourite people!
At this point, you can choose what you want to keep, with absolutely no pressure whatsoever: buy only what you love. But be warned: you’ll probably love them all!
