First Birthday Portraits with Taron and his Family

It’s such a pleasure to see my tiny newborn clients again one year later, although it’s always such a shock! Last time we met, Taron was the sweetest little newborn, with the most beautiful smile (caused by wind!).

Now he’s walking around, saying ‘dad-da’ and actively interacting with the world around him. There’s only one thing that hasn’t changed, and that’s his beautiful smile, although this time it’s not caused by wind!

He’s into Disney songs, bubbles and action-filled interactions with mum and dad, as well as pulling the tails of the family’s two dogs!

Dad Michael is just as cheeky as the last time we met, and told me his favourite game to play with his son is ‘don’t tell mamma!’. Apparently this involves hiding things from ever-patient Charlie!

I first met Charlie and Michael at their maternity shoot shortly before Taron was born. She shared their tough journey through pregnancy loss and IVF, bravely recounting all the challenges they went through to get to this moment.

Now, Taron is here, and he’s happy and healthy. The family recently moved house and are now settled in a beautiful new build home at the Graven Hill development. Michael has a new job, and he’s enjoying it much more than his previous role. Charlie has taken to motherhood perfectly, with a firm but fair approach, lots of love and cuddles, and the motivation and determination to do whatever is best for her son, partner and family.

There’s been so much positive change for this family of three (five including the dogs!), and I’m so lucky to witness how everything has fallen into place for them.

So this first birthday shoot was a celebration, not just that Taron has turned one, but also that this happy family, who love each other so much, now have everything they ever wanted in each other.

After our shoot, Michael said:
