Business headshots with Charlotte Price

After 20 years of corporate life, Charlotte is ready to bring the many skills she’s learned to serve new clients as she launches her own HR consultancy.

With a background in medical and pharmaceutical HR, Charlotte is particularly passionate about good leadership: she’s seen how it can boost morale, increase productivity and benefit the bottom line.

A happy additional consequence is that good leadership can identify and resolve issues before they develop into more complex (and expensive) HR matters, which is a win-win for both employers and employees.

When she’s not coaching and training clients, Charlotte is most likely to be found with her partner Steve and her Irish doodle, Poppy.

Two-year-old Poppy is an Irish Red Settler/Poodle cross. A friend of Charlotte’s bred 14 puppies during lockdown, and was looking for good homes for them.

While Steve had always wanted a dog, Charlotte was allergic to most of them and would never have approached a breeder directly herself anyway.

It was only because it was her friend who was looking for owners, and the fact that she happened to breed a Poodle cross which meant that Charlotte wasn’t allergic, which made her decide to take the leap.

This seems to have worked out as an excellent decision. Charlotte’s face lit up every time she spoke about Poppy, who is incredibly intelligent, energetic and friendly towards everyone she meets.

Poppy knows what she wants, however, and is very determined to get it! Charlotte told me she’s had four dog trainers, and behaves impeccably when they are around… before returning to her usual cheeky self as soon as the trainer leaves!

Charlotte and Steve have been together for eight years, and are proof that opposites attract.

Charlotte is very relaxed, easy-going and happy-go-lucky, whereas Steve is – as Charlotte told me – more of a staid northerner.

The biggest difference between them is in their favoured football teams: Steve supports Liverpool whereas Charlotte is a Manchester fan, which means that she’s having a hard time lately!

Nevertheless, Poppy is always there to cuddle and cheer up Charlotte whenever her team loses.

And the launch of Charlotte’s new HR consultancy gives her plenty of positives to focus on.
