Charlie got in contact with me ahead of his girlfriend’s birthday this summer. He wanted to get Abbie a gift that would capture a very special time in her life: her pregnancy and the arrival of their first baby.
Charlie and Abbie were pretty confident they would be having a boy. The shape and position of Abbie’s baby bump meant everyone would instantly reaffirm this guess, which meant it was a big surprise when they found out their little one was a girl!
Abbie has 11 nieces and nephews, so she already knows a thing or two about caring for little ones. She’s the fun aunty, as well as the person all those nieces and nephews feel confident to confide in.
She very much plans to bring this approach to parenthood, encouraging an open and honest bond between mother and daughter. She also can’t wait to go out and do everything with her new arrival, from sports right through to shopping together.
Her new arrival will also mark a big shift in Abbie’s life. Abbie works six days a week, and spends her midweek day off renovating the home she shares with Charlie. It’s a beautiful old farmhouse, and there’s lots of work to do, but luckily Charlie runs a construction, plumbing and heating company (check it out here) so between them they’ve got a lot of the skills they need to get the job done.
With baby due in just over a month, now the pressure is on to get the big jobs completed. But when those are done, what a year 2021 will have been for this couple: a renovated house, a pregnancy and a new arrival, all before Christmas.
And thanks to Charlie’s thoughtful gift, now they will have some very special images of these milestones to display in their finished home 🙂
After her photoshoot, Abbie said:
“I had the best experience with Sarah, doing a maternity photo shoot. I was honestly a bag of nerves, not a photogenic person at all! She made me so comfortable and confident, I honestly could not have asked for a better experience!! Looking forward to newborn photos in December.”
