Little Scarlett-Mae was very keen to meet her fab family – to this end she arrived a few weeks early, taking mum Stephanie and dad Alex by surprise!
Scarlett-Mae joins Alex’s other son, Tommy, to make this a beautifully blended family of four.
Tommy wasn’t completely convinced about becoming a big brother at first. He kept saying, “My daddy!” and wasn’t too keen on sharing Alex’s attention.
Three weeks is a long time when you’re just under three years old, however, and during the family’s newborn photoshoot with me, Tommy kept telling us that he loved Scarlett, promptly melting the hearts of everyone in the room!
He’s equally passionate about fire engines, and has been know to jump up and shout ‘nee-nor!’ when one drives past!
Alex and Stephanie met at work. He works in the kitchen of a local pub, and Stephanie is front-of-house.
Their eyes met when Stephanie first interviewed for a role there, and soon they started dating.
They particularly enjoy date days out in Oxford, exploring the shops and having the pleasure of trying new dishes when they go out to eat.
When they’re not out and about, they’re often spending time with friends and family, including seeing our mutual acquaintances Caroline and Russell, who drove up to meet the new arrival very recently.
Caroline and Russell are one of the nicest couples I’ve had the pleasure to meet. I’ve known them for many, many years and had the pleasure of photographing their dog and their wedding back when I lived in Essex.
Caroline in particular has been an incredible supporter of my business, regularly ‘liking’ my work on social media and buying Gift Certificates with me as presents for friends and family.
As every small business owner knows, having people like this can make all the difference, especially in those early years of getting started and building a reputation.
So when Caroline and Russell found out their niece was expecting a baby, Caroline got in contact to very generously buy a session with images as a new baby gift for Stephanie.
Not only will Stephanie and Alex be able to enjoy these photos, but so will the rest of the family.
And because we keep photos forever, I know that one day Scarlett-Mae will be looking at these, too, and admiring just how teeny she once was!
In turn, Caroline and Russell’s vital presence in Scarlett-Mae’s life has also been celebrated, as they are to become Godparents as well as Great Aunt and Great Uncle – a fitting label in every sense of the word 🙂
“Me, Alex, Tommy and Scarlett-Mae had the great opportunity to have our photos done professionally, by Sarah, the photos are amazing we fell in love with them straight away, we can’t thank you enough for finding the time to do this for us, would recommend 100%!!”
