Maternity photoshoot with Gina and Gavin

I first met Gavin quite a few years ago, in what feels like another lifetime.

I was working as the Marketing and Events Manager at Redbridge College in the East London/West Essex area and I had booked on to a conference for FE marketers.

While I was there I attended a session run by the marketing team at Bedford College. They played a promotional video they had commissioned… and I was in awe.

It was like nothing I’d seen in the sector before: cinematic, stylish and confident. I had to find out more.

It was created by a company called Clearhead, which is headed up by two incredible people that I’ve come to know well: Gavin and Alex.

I knew that a similar video could help my own college pivot away from its historic negative reputation by showing how so many students transformed their lives through the courses and facilities offered there.

Showing the final piece to a hall filled with my peers and colleagues remains one of the highlights of my marketing career.

The staff were so moved to see the place they worked for represented so well that the end of the film led to a spontaneous standing ovation, and the college Principal immediately played the film through for a second time.

So it was with some mixed feelings that I booked in Gavin and his partner Gina for their maternity photoshoot with me: excitement at catching up, but also the pressure of creating beautiful stills for someone in the creative industries that I have respected for so long!

Luckily, this gorgeous couple made my job easy, partly as they both have past experience of professional modelling and partly as they are simply so darn lovely! 🙂

This modelling experience as well as their creative eye for details meant that they had a really clear idea in mind of what they wanted from their photos: clean, high key images which capture their anticipation of the next season of their lives together – the adventure of parenthood.

I can’t wait to capture the start of that adventure once their little one arrives! 🙂

Sarah is a seasoned professional, who does everything with minute care and precision. She brings the best out of even the most awkward of models and makes you feel really at ease at the same time. The photos speak for themselves and everything is so well planned. The studio is lovely and cosy and Sarah is a bundle of energy. WE WOULDN”T RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE TO CAPTURE THOSE SPECIAL MOMENTS!
