Over the last year I’ve watched Luca grow from a sweet and swaddled newborn (see the images here) to a giggly 6-month-old (see the images here).
Now he’s already an almost one-year-old, keen to practice his standing and first steps and babbling away with enthusiasm.
When I last saw him about six months ago, he was most enjoying his introduction to food.
After months of life-sustaining but less exciting milk, he was thrilled to discover a whole world of new tastes and textures.
In fact, he was so excited that he’d often rush his face forward to meet the spoon his parents were holding, invariably leading to a face full of porridge!
Now he has a mini portion of whatever mum and dad are eating.
When he’s not eating, he most loves to explore on all fours and make some noise.
Luca also loves going on holiday with his mum and dad.
With family in Sydney, Canada and Italy I think he’s got a jet setting future ahead of him.
Indeed, as the first grandchild on both sides, he is going to be an in-demand visitor all over the globe!
Luca was wriggly during his mum’s pregnancy, and was very impatient to get moving at his sitter session, so it’s no surprise to see that he’s already on the move now – and at high speed, too, meaning mum and dad can’t take their eyes off him for long!
Little Luca was just shy of his first birthday when his parents brought him round for his photoshoot.
They wanted to have the photos in time for the big day, which they plan to celebrate at the local community centre, surrounded by friends, family and some of Luca’s baby buddies!
I’m sure Luca’s dad will be capturing all the magical moments, especially as he has a new Canon 50mm f/1.2 lens.
He’s hoping to upgrade his camera body soon, too, and with Luca as the perfect little model and muse, there’s no time like the present! 🙂
