I previously met this lovely family back in 2022, when Abi and Ryan welcomed little Griff into the world.
I last saw him swaddled up as a tiny newborn. Now, Griff is four years old and fluent in the many different types of dinosaurs!

Ryan’s job in Formula E means he’s often away from work, as he travels to all the races worldwide.

Abi has been able to join him at the end of several of those trips, so the two of them could tag on a holiday in the area once a race is finished.

It’s also meant a bit of luck and a bit of planning has been needed to ensure that little Florence didn’t arrive in the middle of an important fixture!

However, thanks to some very good timing, Ryan has been able to be fully present in the newborn bubble as they became a family of four – or five including the dog, Fred!

Fred is a Jack Russell who has been the family’s fur baby for 15 years.
He became super protective of little Griff as soon as he was born, and has continued his guard dog duties to ensure Florence is kept safe and happy.

Similarly, Griff has been an incredible big brother, and is really curious about and loving towards his new sibling.

In further proof that it’s a small world, I was delighted to find out that Abi was born in Church Village in Wales – my husband lived there when we met, while I was living in Essex.

Similarly, Ryan’s parents are in Luton, which means that this pair also do a lot of cross-country travel to visit loved ones!

Both sets of grandparents are super excited about Florence’s arrival, and have been buying up bits and pieces that will help keep her clothed and warm.

There’s also one thing for sure: this gorgeous baby won’t want for anything at all, as her family have loved her since before she was born, and that feeling has only intensified since!
