This international couple from Bicester, Oxfordshire, wanted to capture the magic of pregnancy with a maternity photoshoot.
Maria is from Spain while her boyfriend, Attila, is from Hungary. They met just under five years ago, at a friend-of-a-friend’s house party. Maria had only been in the UK ten days, but it was love at first sight.
They are a tech-savvy couple, with Maria building websites and Attila creating 3D designs for car prototypes. They love watching movies and TV shows, and looking after their adorable African pygmy hedgehog, who has taken to sleeping on Maria’s baby bump.
Their two families met up for the first time last year, choosing Budapest as their location. While touring the city, they learned that Mathias is one of the most popular names for Hungarian kings. The name stuck, and when Maria and Attila found out they’d be having a baby boy, Mathias was the obvious choice 🙂
Maria and Attila have been in Bicester a year now, and wanted some personal wall art to make their house a welcoming home for their first child. These images will show little Mathias just how excited his parents felt to watch him grow and welcome him into the world.
We created a mix of images together, some of just Maria and others of them both. We laughed our way through the shoot, capturing some incredibly happy (and authentic) grins as well as some more gentle expressions. Don’t they both look fantastic? 🙂
After the shoot, Maria said:
“It was an amazing experience. Sarah made us feel very comfortable and we felt like real models. The result was even better that what we expected. Thanks Sarah.”
