I first met Keri at her newborn shoot with her daughter, Arielle. Just over a year later I was delighted to see Keri and Arielle again, this time with a little sibling in tow: Issac.
Keri could quite happily envision another baby or three. She comes from a big family herself so knows how lovely it is to grow up with lots of siblings. However, having a newborn at the same time as a one-year-old has kept Keri more than busy, so she plans to give herself a bit of a break for a few years first, especially as twins run in her family!
Dad Alex was busy with work so Aunty Toni came along to help out, and the extra pair of hands made all the difference when there’s two little ones to look after!
Arielle loves being mischievous, zipping along on her trike and anything to do with the minions. Keri tells me that Arielle is daddy’s little girl, and already has him tied around her little finger!
Arielle is not quite sure about her little brother yet. She did however, show him off to her six-month-old cousin, Logan, gesturing for Logan to look at the baby with her hands, a big smile on her face.
With such a close age gap between them, I’m sure it won’t be long before Arielle and Issac are as thick as thieves, playing hide-and-seek and tag with Logan.
Arielle was a super-chilled-out newborn, and Issac is the same. He is, however, a lot hungrier than his big sister: Arielle used to feed quite lightly as a baby, and even now tends to snack rather than feast (unless there’s something sweet on the menu: Arielle has inherited her mum’s love of chocolate!).
After a long labour with Arielle, Keri was relieved that things went much smoother this time, with a water birth at Spires. She was even able to lift Issac up and out of the water herself, making a magical first meeting with mum and baby.
Dad Alex’s middle name is Issac, so he and Keri had it on their shortlist as a possible option. First, though, they wanted to wait to meet their son to check the name suited him.
Happily, they felt it was a good fit with his features and decided to stick with it. Keri has been told several times that Issac has a look about him like he’s been through the world before, so a traditional Biblical name was the perfect match.
After our photoshoot Keri said:
“They are absolutely beautiful thank you so much!”
