When I last saw this lovely family for Musa’s older newborn photos two years ago, dad Irfan told me their new arrival meant he now had two bosses: the baby and his wife. This time, as he returned to the studio with his wife and two sons, he confirmed that he’s been pushed down the pecking order a little further, as he now has three bosses.
He doesn’t seem to mind at all, though, and is the first to volunteer every time the boys need anything.
Both parents talk to the children in their native tongue as well as English, but I could make out lots of ‘daddy loves you’ whenever Irfan was interacting with the little ones.
“It’s been hard with two little ones at once,” mum Samarah told me, “But also amazing!”
She had been worried that two-year-old Musa would feel jealous about his sibling’s arrival, but instead he’s been delighted. Musa loves cuddling Esa and trying to help mum and dad with all the tasks that a new baby brings.
What I remember most about photographing Musa when he was this age was how happy and smiley he was. He still is incredibly joyful, beaming every time I played peek-a-boo or catching the ball with him, and his little brother is just as sweet.
Samarah told me Musa is now full of energy and into everything, although the family’s drive down from Banbury put Musa into an impressively deep sleep, with Musa snoring adorably in his dad’s arms on arrival!
The family have just celebrated Eid together, although the restrictions in place at the time meant that it was a smaller and quieter celebration this year.
Nevertheless it was Esa’s first Eid, so the family made sure it was still beautiful, with lots of gifts and presents.
Now Esa has had his first photoshoot, too, so he’ll be able to grow up surrounded by all the photos that show just how loved he is – by his mum, his dad and – most of all – his big brother Musa. 🙂
After our photoshoot Samarah said:
“We just want to say Thank You! You’ve been amazing, your communication has been superb throughout and we absolutely love the fact that you’ve been so patient and caring during the photo shoot. You didn’t do any pose/shot or anything that Musa & Esa were not comfortable with. It was lovely seeing you again :)”
