Newborn photos with 20-day-old Cayde and his big sister Addie

Shortly after perfect little Cayde was born, his proud mum Jessika sent me some pictures. One of them was Cayde on his own, snoozing away in a cozy swaddle. The other showed him awake, lying on his back in a bassinet and wearing a blue babygro with ‘little brother’ written on it in.

Addie is standing on tip toes next to the basinet, holding on to it with both hands while her face is full of joy and amazement. Jessika told me that she’s loved becoming a big sister, and that was certainly clear during the family’s Newborn Photoshoot with me.

Addie was very keen to help fetch whatever was needed, whether that was a dummy, a muslin or a bottle. Jessika tells me that whenever Cayde cries at home, Addie runs over to gently pat him and talk to him. She’s even held him on her lap to feed, holding the bottle for him and watching as he drinks.

I last met this family at their maternity photoshoot (see the photos here). They had heard about me through one of Jessika’s colleagues, the lovely Tamisha, who had booked a maternity and Newborn Photoshoot with me just a few months previously (see the photos here and here).

Addie is full of life and excitement, and particularly enjoys dancing to music, singing along to nursery rhymes (Wheels on the Bus and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star are current favourites) and watching Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig shows.

She’s got a new favourite pastime now, though, and that’s spending time with her adorable little brother. 🙂
