Newborn Theo joins his three siblings, the oldest being his sister (8) and then two middle brothers (aged 7 and 3).
His mum organised newborn photoshoots for each of them, and told me that Theo was the only one who snoozed and relaxed through (almost) the whole session.
His siblings are so excited with his arrival, proudly displaying him to their friends at the school gates, and never turning down opportunities to give him little kisses and say, ‘Hello Theo!’ to him.
Their only worries are whether they have to share their Lego with him when he gets older!
Mum tells me that Theo looks the absolute spit of his older siblings when they were just born, in particular his sister.
That’s where the similarities end, though, as Theo is the calmest and easiest of the four so far.
Mum really enjoys photography herself, although she admits that sometimes she hides behind the camera.
That means there are only a very few of her with each child, something I was determined to correct during Theo’s newborn photoshoot!
With just a short amount of time before the winter festivities begin, it’s now time to finalise the last present purchases and look forward to a Christmas meal out together with the grandparents at a favourite Oxford restaurant (bonus: no cooking, cleaning or washing up needed!).
And hopefully next year there will be time and opportunity to safely return to the family’s favourite holiday spot: a self-catering villa in Portugal that has access to the all the facilities and restaurants of the onsite hotel.
This time, though, they’ll have one extra person with them: handsome little Theo. 🙂
“From the moment I contacted Sarah, her approach and attitude was great – professional, flexible when we changed the date at the last minute, as well as timing for feeding a newborn in advance. Everything was so relaxed on the day itself, she was lovely with our baby, and he was so happy and slept well throughout. She had thought of everything – colours of clothes to bring, hot water bottles to warm things, it was really impressive. And the photos – well, I simply love them and can’t wait to put them up! They will be treasured for years to come – thank you again Sarah!”
