Once they found out they were expecting a girl, this happy couple took just 10 days to agree which first name they’d like to go for.
They’d seen ‘Amelie’ in a book and really liked it, so it was an easy choice.
Amelie’s middle name took much more deliberation, with mum Caitlin and dad Bradley eventually settling on the gorgeous ‘Ava’.
Caitlin tells me that Amelie has been much calmer than she’d expected.
She enjoys looking around and often smiles when something catches her eye, but is otherwise content to lay there watching everyone move around her.
She’s already sleeping through the night, from 10pm to 7am, which means she follows in her mum’s footsteps – Caitlin loves getting her Zzzs!
Even when she wakes up she rarely cries and is easy to settle when she does.
Amelie is the first grandchild on both sides of the family, which means the grandparents have been especially excited to meet her.
Caitlin and Bradley’s families are based in the Kent area, but have made multiple journeys over to Oxfordshire to meet the new arrival.
Caitlin’s mum has shown pictures of Amelie to every person she knows, and gets impatient if Caitlin and Bradley haven’t sent any new pictures within the last five hours – hopefully these images will keep everyone satisfied for an extra day or two!
Meeting Amelie has been the highlight of an eventful year: Caitlin and Bradley also got married in May, and celebrated ten years since they first met.
In that time, they’ve had many adventures together, including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro while at university.
They’re now enjoying their biggest adventure – parenthood – and already can’t imagine life without perfect little Amelie. 🙂
“We had a newborn photoshoot done with our 8 week old daughter. Sarah was very quick to respond and made the entire process very stress free. The pictures were just incredible and i get so emotional every time i look at them.”
