Professional business headshots with Andrew

Andrew first heard about me through his partner, also called Andrew, who has been in for headshots with me twice (see the images here and here).

Andrew knew exactly what he wanted from his time with me: images that were professional but a bit different and with a slightly more informal look and feel.

He’ll be using the pictures for a variety of business purposes, including for his role on a conference panel later this year.

He’ll be debating what has changed in the recruitment industry and what needs to change next, and is particularly passionate about ensuring that people aren’t unfairly excluded from the hiring process.

One of the ways this can be achieved is through the greater use of technology, including using AI systems which can be set up to focus only on relevant skills and experience, disregarding things like age, sex and race that are subject to conscious and unconscious human bias and prejudice.

Andrew works in global recruitment and is shortly starting a new role. He has a mandate to oversee huge growth and change, and is looking forward to getting started.

First though, he has booked a last minute trip to the Maldives with his partner, and is looking forward to going out snorkelling and capturing the famous beauty of the underwater world on his new Go Pro camera.

He’s also got a trip to New York planned, and would love to return to Australia one day soon, too.

He and Andrew were out there on a month-long trip when Covid struck, and they had to make the difficult decision to return home early.

When he’s not shaking up company culture or exploring the world, Andrew can most often be found taking the couple’s much-loved cockapoos, Cooper and Barney, out for walks locally.

Andrew told me they loved Barney on first sight, as they were specifically interested in a chocolate phantom cockapoo.

When Barney walked straight over to Andrew and curled up in his lap, the instant affection was mutual.

Barney also acted as a physio dog, giving Andrew the company he needed when he was recovering from a back injury.

 In turn, his partner was the one who brought up Cooper, and happily the dogs have become good friends too.

Barney and Cooper are very well looked after indeed, spending their time in doggie day care when both Andrews are busy with work.

Although Andrew is looking forward to retiring in a few years time, he doesn’t plan to give up work entirely.

He hopes to continue pushing for positive change by joining a board or two as a non-executive director, and using his four decades of experience to make things better for as many people as he can.

After all, the work that we do forms so much of our life experiences, and having the right person in the right job makes all the difference for that individual, as well as the company employing them.
