“Another birthday, another baby on the way!” Charlie told me when he got in contact to arrange a Gift Certificate for his partner, Abbie.
I’d met this couple twice before, first for their maternity photoshoot with me and secondly for their newborn photoshoot a few weeks later.
Now – all of a sudden – newborn Reagan has transformed from a tiny, sleepy nugget into a sweet and curious toddler, soon to be celebrating her second birthday.
She’s also celebrating another milestone: becoming big sister to new arrival Renly.
Reagan enjoyed her first meeting with Renly – mum and dad captured the magical moment on camera – and loves to give him lots of very enthusiastic kisses and cuddles!
However, Reagan is incredibly active and curious, so isn’t one to sit and coo over Renly for too long: she’d rather be playing hide and seek, climbing the furniture or visiting the monkey enclosures at the zoo!
Reagan also adores spending time with Abbie’s mum, whom she calls Nana. Reagan and Nana have a video call every single morning, and meet up most weeks, too.
Reagan is incredibly tall for her age, and finds herself eye-to-eye with most four-year-olds. Reagan is likely to grow to double her current height which means she’s likely to be a tall adult, too!
When I last saw them, Abbie and Charlie were working flat out to finish renovating their Aylesbury farmhouse.
They got all the big jobs done just in time for Raegan’s arrival, and have been concentrating on the finishing touches ever since.
With Charlie running his own construction, plumbing and heating company, there’s been a delicate balancing act to manage, between working on the family home and keeping a long list of clients happy!
Abbie and Charlie are delighted with the work so far, and have many more ideas and plans to improve their plot further, including a large extension at the back and the conversion of a derelict building into a tool store.
In the meantime, they are busy adjusting to life with a newborn again, this time while juggling a toddler, too.
Happily, they feel much more confident this time around, with fewer questions and worries about what to do.
And their lovely new farmhouse means there’s plenty of room for their latest arrival, with lots for him and his big sister to explore as they grow up together in the family’s rural idyll. 🙂
