Melissa was avoiding Auckland’s rush hour by visiting a friend after her university class for the Architecture Technician course had finished for the day.
That friend shared her apartment with Bruce, a recently graduated software engineer.
Over time, Melissa and Bruce got to know each other, and then they started dating.
Nine months later, they became engaged, and a few years after that, Bruce got an opportunity to travel to the UK for work.
Both of them had wanted to see the UK, with its quirky historical buildings and characterful pubs, so they thought they’d come and stay for a year or so.
All of a sudden, ten years have passed, and baby Noah’s recent arrival has prompted the couple’s decision to return home to New Zealand.
Melissa is very close to her sister, who has a two-year-old, and they want the little ones to grow up together.
Bruce’s parents have also built a new home near the coast, and there are opportunities to enjoy family holidays there with their loved ones.
When it came to choosing a first name for their long-awaited son, there was just one option that Melissa and Bruce really loved: Noah.
For his middle name, they opted for Benjamin, a name which has history on Bruce’s side.
Noah loves three things most of all: mum’s milk, dad’s cuddles and the motion of the car.
Melissa told me that even when she was pregnant with Noah, she knew he was going to be an active baby. The only times he really relaxed was when Melissa was travelling in a car.
He’s the same now, escaping swaddles and constantly wriggling around, unless mum is feeding him, dad is bouncing him or the car engine is running!
Hopefully the same will apply to the engines on the plane, when his very proud and happy mum and dad take him on his very first flight, halfway round the world, to his family’s home. ?
“We highly recommend Sarah after our recent newborn photoshoot. We were made to feel very welcome and we enjoyed the experience. Sarah was also very patient during the countless feeds to settle our son and felt like he was in safe hands. Best of all we have amazing photos to enjoy and we look forward to sharing with everyone!”
