Business headshots with Claire

Claire is just back from Las Vegas, where she took her daughter to celebrate her birthday, in the gap between Christmas and New Year.

Her daughter had wanted to go to Las Vegas since she was five, but Claire had pointed out it wasn’t worth going until she was 21, as there’s so little she could do there while younger.

Her daughter decided that she’d like to wake up in Las Vegas on her 21st birthday, and so the plan remained, ever since she was just five years old.

They opted for the New York, New York hotel as it’s less stuffy than some of the others (although the Bellagio is Claire’s personal favourite) and they had an absolute blast.

A highlight was seeing a mind-reading show where 60 numbered balls were thrown into the audience and they were asked to throw them back.

The mind reader caught six of those balls in a net, and their numbers just so happened to match up with a lottery ticket he’d bought earlier that day.

Top tip: log on to your Las Vegas hotel website after you have a stay there, and you’ll often find they offer you a free room for a return visit.

This is how Claire has managed to get her accommodation for free since her first trip there.

This was a girls’ trip for just Claire and her daughter, but her husband isn’t missing out entirely. He’s just celebrated his 50th birthday, and he and Claire are off to Naples soon to mark the occasion.

They are especially looking forward to seeing Pompeii.

Claire also has another trip to look forward to: a two-week holiday in Hurghada, Egypt with 11 members of the family.

She booked the flights the day they were released, bagging them for a bargain £150 per person. A comparable flight booked now would be more in the region of £650-£700.

Claire has extensive experience as a Complaints Manager, and is looking for a new role where she can use her listening and problem-solving skills to turn an angry customer into a satisfied one.

She may also decide to set up her own Complaints Management business, but after hearing all her travel tips and experiences, I wonder if she’d be just as suited to booking and planning holidays for clients!
