Three-year-old Freya was especially excited to be having a photoshoot.
She swirled into the studio full of energy, raring to go and hopping from one foot to the other with delight and anticipation.
She’s super bright and curious and explored every inch of the studio.
Mum Jess told me that Freya’s interests are broad, and she’s just as happy digging in the garden as doing ballet.
Freya loves fairies, rainbows and unicorns, and enjoyed looking like a princess in her sparkly dresses during her time with me, showing off her curtseys and pirouettes.
She loves Elsa, Rapunzel and stories about all other princesses, too.
She’s also an incredible big sister to little Arthur, and seeing the two children interact has been a huge highlight of the year for mum and dad.
Arthur has recently learned to crawl and is now constantly on the move, mostly trying to keep up with his big sister!
He hangs on to every word she says and watches everything she does.
Indeed, in the moments Arthur looked away from the camera, he was most likely to be looking over to wherever his sister was!
Jess brought along a couple of personal items to include, such as an animal blanket knitted by her mum and a sock monkey made by her aunt.
Jess works in HR, while dad Jonathon is in estates management.
Jonathon’ job meant they all got the opportunity to live and work in America for six years, which they really enjoyed, although they are now benefiting from being closer to family now they have two little ones.
Jess is on maternity leave while Jonathon took the day off for the family’s photoshoot with me.
Afterwards, they headed to the nearby Blue Diamond garden centre to enjoy lunch out together – with Freya spinning, waving and curtseying on the way out.
“Which games did you enjoy playing the most today?” I asked her just as the family were leaving.
“All of them!” she said.
I have a feeling mum and dad might get asked to play them all again just as soon as they get home!
“Sarah instantly made our daughter (3) feel comfortable and enthusiastic. She played little games to get great reactions out of our kids for the most perfect photographs.
“We are absolutely in love with the results, and genuinely had a lovely couple of hours quality family time whilst they were being taken. We’ll be back for sure!”
